Depending on the item, the production process before shipping can range between a few days to three weeks. Please refer to each product description for more details. Typically, our Gemstone dog collars have a much shorter production process than our exotic leather dog collars our jeweled dog collars. If your order includes a combination of Gemstone dog collars and other collars, such as our custom leather dog collars or jeweled collars, you may receive your order in separate shipments at no additional cost to you.

| How do I determine what size custom dog collar to order? |
|

Choosing the color and style of a unique dog collar is only the first step in ensuring your dogs look their best. Selecting the correct size is also a critical part of the process. Not only does a correctly sized custom dog collar look great, but it also keeps your dog comfortable and safe. A fancy dog collar that is too small will restrict breathing, while one that is too large will allow the collar to slip off your dog’s head. Below please find guidelines to help you achieve an accurate measurement in creating the perfect designer dog collar for your best friend.
For our custom leather dog collars (including American Alligator, African Ostrich, and Teju Lizard):
Once you have determined where the luxury dog collar will rest on your dog, utilize a soft or flexible measuring tape, wrapping it loosely around your dog’s neck. You should be able to comfortably fit one or two fingers (depending on the size of your dog) between the custom dog collar and the dog’s neck. If you do not have access to a soft measuring tape, you can use a strip of paper or a string to take the measurement and compare against a ruler. The measurement in inches that you derive should be the size of the handmade dog collar you order.
Our exotic leather dog collars are created with five holes, with the center hole being the exact measurement of the size. The second hole is an odd number measurement, while the third hole is an even number measurement. For example, on a genuine alligator leather dog collar sized 12”, the center hole would measure 12”. The odd-numbered second hole is 11”.
All of our exotic leather dog collars (alligator, ostrich and Teju lizard) are labeled in even sizes (such as 8, 10, 12, etc.). If your dog’s neck measurement falls in an odd number, please order the next size up. For example, if you dog’s neck measures 11” (allowing spacing for comfort), you should order the 12” custom dog collar.
For our exquisite Gemstone dog collars:
our Gemstone dog collars are designed to be decorative, perfectly accenting your dog’s style with fashionable, custom pet jewelry. However, as they are dog jewelry, they are not intended for use with leads, and the jeweled dog collars are not adjustable.
You should first decide where the jeweled dog collar will rest. When worn with a collar used for a lead, the Gemstone collar can rest above or below the functional collar. It is simply your visual discretion of preference and style. We have found that our Gemstone dog collars look great either way, and you can ascertain the best location based upon your dog’s breed and physical characteristics.
Measure the neck in the same manner you would for a custom leather dog collar, ensuring that your measurement is slightly loose. You should be able to comfortably fit at least one finger between the custom dog collar and the neck. Once you have made this measurement, you should round up to the nearest inch.
Due to the nature of the exquisite materials used in our Gemstone dog collars, not all collars are available in one-inch increments. Some may only be available in two-inch increments. Furthermore, the actual size of a Gemstone dog collar may vary by half an inch. For example, a 12-inch collar may measure between 12 and 12.5 inches.

Yes, the jeweled dog collar may be available once again. The availability of gemstones in the shapes and sizes we use can fluctuate. Because we diligently hand-select all gemstones used in our jeweled dog collars, we only purchase those that meet our high standards. Due to the nature of supply in the gemstone industry, we may not have an ability to obtain the additional gemstones immediately.
